So the seam you are referring to is the solder joint. Because the material we use is gold filled there is no way of hiding the seam. Gold Filled is a thick layer of gold over a base metal, so to buff it out would in fact reveal the underlying metal and strip away the gold content. Contrary to what you inferred, it is actually a sign of quality. The fact that you have a piece of jewelry with heavy gold content, over a piece of lesser or plated quality.
